I found a gimp tutorial on foreground separation that looks easy. I'll try it later. Should be able to put astros image in any photo with this.

EDIT:
I've managed to separate the foreground of three of the "project atom" wallpapers. Next I need to paste Astro onto a new background. I'm going to google for a good picture of Central Park and try resizing the clipping and dump him there. Actually, I should try putting him in a space photo near the ISS for a title shot for my story. The Gimp is fun!
