hmmm I don't know enough about Ironman's powers . . . is he really more powerful than Astro? Ironman always struck me as kind of "stiff" whereas Astro is very nimble and flexible (able to dodge beams, bullets, etc.). And isn't his horsepower greater than Ironman's?
Plus - the "battle of wills" does come into play in a physical battle. Astro isn't prone to succumbing to his emotions/ego as Tony Stark is. Keeping a cool head helps greatly in battle. Plus Astro has no sense of fear. Tony does.
Nope - I think Astro still comes out on top.

Ironman is hampered by NOT having to obey the exception clauses in the third law of robotics. That could make him a coward.

Actually, Astro does have a sense f fear. We see this a few times.
