A new lead for my tablet situation?

I am starting to think that vnc might be the only viable solution, vnc would allow me to control your screen then I could see what is going on and get the driver buit for you.

sudo apt-get install x11vnc

it will not do anything untill you run it with a command I will pm you when I am at home again.

come over to my chat room if you want to talk about it more, even just to trouble shoot more now, more realtime.

WOW. I am REALLY not comfortable with that idea. Plus, my mom would kill me if she found out I did something so monumentally stupid.

Btw, it can't detect the tablet, but it DOES detect a mouse, even though there isn't one there at the moment... (though to be fair, I think it always does this...)

the trackpad in your computer shows up as a mouse, there is also skype desktop sharing, I can see but not controll so it would be safer and I could IM you the commands and see what happens.

I could IM you the commands 1 by 1 in my chat to and you could tell me what they did.

I don't have skype, though that does sound like a better idea...

I DO have a Livestream account, though... I've never streamed anything on it before, though, and it's kind of new... plus I think I may only be allowed to be a spectator...

well come over to my forum and into the chatroom,

look just under the phpbb logo you will see portal, arcade, calender, chat, faq

click on that chat and I will give you commands 1 at a time and we should beable to get this to work or atleast figure out where tie error is.

there may be a way to get pressure and tilt to work with your tablet even threw the mouse driver.

run gimp
click edit, preferences, input devices, configure external input devices, and look at the listed devices, one of then will be your tablet as long as you plugged it in before running the gimp and tilt and pressure may make it threw the mouse driver

if they do you can click on the dropdown that sais disabled and set it to screen and try it out.

there talking about windows but the dialogs in the gimp are the same.

please don't shoot me if it doesn't work.

if it doesn't work threw the mouse driver then it will once we get a x driver that doesn't freakout when it is asked to do something lol
