I don't understand! How can you become "a real Astro Boy" without rockets in your feet? Did I mention they came with red boots?

THE INFECTION IS GONE, BUT LEG EDEMA persists. Thus, I need to elevate my leg above heart level, which, while I sleep thus, I still need to do so several times daily. That, & wear a pressure sock, & use a heating pad while elevated. Minimize sitting!

I hope you fully get better soon. I had an infection in my hand earlier this year due to a cat bite and that was indeed a nasty ordeal. And from what you have described, I somewhat know what you are going through, as my hand swelled up and took a long time to go down even with antibiotics, and now I have two scars of where the teeth priced through my skin. But I remember it being very painful, to a point where I could not feel my whole arm, even the wind was hurting it and that was just two hours after I was bit.

 Ouch! Thanks for the empathy, Sparx. The worst part is needing (as I suppose) to elevate my leg, & minimize sitting. But since the swelling has gone, I hope my physician will say there is no point in elevating the leg anymore.

Oh no! That must be so uncomfortable. I remember having to elevate my leg for just 20 minutes when I crashed during cross country in high school and that was really uncomfortable. I couldn't do it all night...

I hope that you get good news from your doctor soon.

OUCH!
I was working in the back yard and managed to walk right into a large flower pot that was below my field of vision as I was carrying something. It hurt for a few minutes and then the pain subsided so I forgot about it. A few hours later my lower leg was very much swelled up with a massive hematoma under the skin. It will probably be black and blue by tomorrow. I put ice on it and elevated the leg for a few hours, I think the swelling is going down now (was afraid I'd need to go to the emergency room). Hopefully it won't be in pain tomorrow.

Thanks, Earthshine, Tetsuwan Penguin. I too am a bit clumsy, & very much angry about that fact. But as a man who likes to yell, when I do bump into something, I usually say "stupid [whatever it was that just jumped out at me]!" I hope your leg is better soon. As for me, it appears, after checking with the clinic nurse, who checked with the physician, tomorrow I should be ok for the injections of that brand-named toxin that costs so much! :d evil:

Ooooh boy, I hope it kills all the nasties without multiple months long treatment (I had a friend who was allergic to pretty much all anti-bacterials and it took him 7 months to get over a staph infection).

I fortunately am not entirely clumsy, but the incident in question in high school was very clumsy. I pretty much crashed right into a hurdle instead of jumping over it. I ripped my leg out of socket, fractured my left hip, sliced open my left calf and rotated my knee  I'm glad I got over it but it made me retire from cross country forever.

Ever since them I have been pretty situationally aware of everything.

:o hmy: Painful! :o hmy:

So, I went to the BOTOX clinic today, & they were able to find alternate injection sites for all but 1 muscle.
