New Mega Man TV Series Slated for 2017

Postby Earthshine » 10 years ago

Because I know there are several Megaman/Rockman fans on this forum (me included) I thought this news would make us very pleased.

After a near decade long absence, Mega Man is returning to television. Man of Action Entertainment, the studio behind Ben 10, Ultimate Spider Man and Marvel's Avengers Assemble, will produce an all-new animated Mega Man series,

This really makes me happy, I really enjoyed the 1990s Ruby Spear's cartoon and the studio responsible for this new series I have nothing but respect for. It will be good to see our favorite little blue robot on the screen again.

Now when will we get the X series?

So he can't get a new video game but he can get a new cartoon. Interesting.

Capcom really has not been treating him very well for the last 5+ years, right? With the exception to him finally being put in Smash I don't think he's been put in any video game for years. There have been re-releases of his old games and some educational video games put out for Japanese youth (things like Mario Teaches Typing if you're old enough to remember that game).

Still, I am glad this got picked up!

I just recently saw Mega Man was getting an animated! Based on the studio's past work, it's pretty easy to tell what the series will look like.

I heard Mightly No.9 is also getting an animated series (even though the game hasn't even come out yet).

I wonder if they come out around the same time if there will be a little rivalry.
