Astro Boy goes to Rhode Island Comic Con

Rhode Island Comic Con was this weekend and I took my favorite Astro Boy figure with me for some photo ops. Here are some highlights
Image
Astro meets up with another famous android
Image
"I never approved of these. But it is flattering."
(Yes, I bought them both XD)
Image
"I'm terrified beyond to capacity for rational thought."
Image
"Doctor? Who trapped you in there? Don't worry! I'll get you out!"
(This one actually hurt. The vendor of this booth had Ochanomizu, Black Jack AND Sapphire but I didn't find him until the end of the weekend and I was out of money by then T__T)
I have more here

Oh nice! How was RI Comic Con? I'm from CT and have only been to Connecticon. I've gone 5 years in a row, and while it's a nice con I'd like to try other ones.

Thanks. I'm glad you like the pictures =D It's a fun convention. I'd recommend it. But even with two buildings and two dealers rooms, it still got very crowded. Especially on Saturday XD

 As much as I like to watch COMIC BOOK MEN, I would never go to a place so crowded as a con.

I went to Youmacon and it took me three hours just to get in.

Cons, especially the bigger comic cons, can be so emotionally taxing for some of us and it is a main reason why I have been staying away from certain cons; the membership is just too large. I used to go to Sakura Con and Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle every year but they have gotten so popular my anxiety goes out of control when I go. Lately I've been looking for some smaller cons to go to that are not shady, it's been proving to be a task.

Awesome pics and wonderful concept!

thanks =D This was a lot of fun. Yeah, those crowds can be very emotionally exhausting.

Due to a poor choice in how to register guests, it once took us 6 hours to get into Anime Boston.

The crowds are something I'm iffy about as well. I was kinda interested in NY Comic Con til my brother went with his girlfriend and they didn't have a good time. Said there was way too many people and the couple of panels they waited in line for hours for would always end up being full.

I'm kinda interested in Otakon but I'm not sure what it's like plus it'd be a long drive.

Maybe I should just be happy with Connecticon lol

A tip for any con if you plan on going to one is always see if there is a pre-registure option; it can cut down on the hours of waiting in line to get a badge on the opening day of the con.

Sakura and Emerald City do this and you can pick up your badge the day before the con, it really cuts down on wait time and anxiety.
