No The Robot Vikings on Tape 5 Australian VHS ???
Just a follow up to my message about emailing Siren about the faulty volume 5 tape. Below is the email I sent, and below that is their response...
Hi.
I own a copy of Astro Boy volume 5, one of the earlier faulty tapes that claims to have The Robot Vikings on it, but actually has The Great Meltdown instead. I would like to know what I can do to get the correct version of this volume. I purchased this tape many many years ago and I would not even know where I purchased it from, so returning it is not an option.
Regards
Response:
there were no changes made to any of the volumes, I believe it was just an incorrect listing.
I replied to this email telling the guy he was wrong and I never heard back. Has anyone had a similar experience or had better luck than me?

That is wierd dude. I am positive My VHS has the vikins ep on it.
Sounds like the guy just didnt know how to help and is covering himself hoping you wouldnt notice? I dunno.
In any case, your VHS is probably well and worn now. Time to upgrade to DVD.
I am sure some of our fellow australians will be able to help you out somehow too. I know this is not quite the same as having a propper complete set on VHS, but as the australian VHS set was badly re-arranged with episode order it wasnt exactly a great set in the first place.
I believe teh NTSC American VHS set is believed to be the best dubbed set available. I am not sure if it is still available tho.

Was not the Vikings episode put on a later released tape? I don't think they ever bothered to fix up & re-release that volume. It was a bit of a stuffup. The name and description was wrong but the pictures are of the Great Meltdown.
I'm sure i checked this out ages ago and that the vikings episode can be found on the 11-17 volumes set
