Here it is:

Global Astro!
From somewhere (at this story as for beginning?)
Everything which (you speak by everyone and is not the)
(This way) this way with everyone (with everyone)
The child of the science which you open and probably will put out
It strikes in Nada and should have opened?
One scene of kana forcing drama we would like to see
Baby can it be already it is not ahead?
You and of sillaginoid being lazy me
The future which which probably will keep directing the eye
It is the bubble of everyone it does not come
So because it believes, oh yeah!
How long
(It does and others is not or does it have to be which it keeps doing to shake?)
Hiding it is to come it is not
(Frame of mind, such a even now you miss me that I know)
So when you say
(You answer, such - - are not, I say that's something to find)
Confusion (how anyone is) so (what?) so
From here ahead
Now or never... how many ones
Now or never... memory
Also it probably comes to chestnut here which passes?
Now or never... closing the eye
Now or never... question
Because as for future there is this hand, (follow we)
Ahead ahead ahead ahead
"Being visible, volume of M-FLO and kumi"
It's all for you, you and talking like kaateisu
Me, such a aateisuteitsuku Astro boy
Who's that Astro girl?
World of everyone just
EXPO EXPO and next
Catch the future in order to do let's go
Now or never... the it is, coming out
Now or never... it was cut
Therefore heart already - as for degree, like the
Now or never... the excessiveness it is not
Now or never... it may exchange
Because this hand there is a future, (follow we)

As you can see it needs a bit of work. I'm guessing the word "chestnut" shouldn't be in there. :)
"Now or never... the excessiveness it is not" should probably be translated as something like "Now or never... it's not too much", etc. And I have no idea what's going on in the fifth line.

It seems the last line is really "Your heart is..."
In Japanese the last sentence is "kimi no kokoro mo"
Why doesn't babelfish accept Romanji characters? Translator needed please :P

I have a special present for you Fafner. B)

rom2kana.zip

It's a small programme I wrote last night to convert any Romaji text into Hiragana unicode. You can then paste the results into Bablefish (not that it'll make much sense! ;) .

Since you wrote it, you know in which language it is... If it is C or C++ and you didn't use too much Windows-specific stuff, I may have it work on other operating systems, if you don't mind giving the source of course B)

What song is this? Is this the full length version of True Blue (the Jp opening theme)?

Thank you so much DrFrag! You're the best!

Even though it's not quite perfect it's still better than nothing.

That's SO cool!!

Given the great lyrics with the songs, it's a pity 'whoever' didn't bother translating them in English when they dubbed the series. I think songs make a huge difference compared to just plain music.
Also, makes it a better 'singalong' :D

Thanks for the Astro-rap lyrics. B) That song blew me away when I first heard and saw it. Don't know why the English dub couldn't have used that. It was so cool.

Actually, it's a DOS programme. I wrote it in QuickBasic. It shoud work on all PCs made since 1984, although you still need to be able to view Japanese fonts. Can your OS run old DOS apps?

I can give you the source, but it's extremely ugly. Image

Nah, True Blue was from the first half of the series. This one is from the second half. It's pretty cool. B)

The music was done by William Kevin Anderson. He's actually turned up here on occassion.
I'm not sure why anime dubs so frequently ditch the original music. It's usually much better suited.

My OS includes a virtual machine running FreeDOS. I managed to transfer the program and get back the data. It showed a neat Japanese-like writting in the browser ;) Don't know if it was was it was supposed to be though as I can't read Japanese :D

I ain't 'fraid of ugly code, no more than ghosts :P If a computer can parse it, my organic CPU can parse it too, and regurgitate it in any language or plateform you want :D

Ok then, well I just downloaded Ep50 from Fafner's ftp (I say just because it still feels like I just finished, even though I finished d/ling it back on monday... ;) ) and it had the same opening and ending as the very first episode. Only difference was Ep 50 said "GoodBye!" and there was no next-episode teaser.

Ep 50 downloaded fine, but ep 49 which I tried to download also, came out corrupted. Does Ep 49 have this new opening and closing theme?
