This excerpt is taken from the Tezuka intro at the beginning of the ep 'Astro's First Love', featuring only in the original japanese version. It's also included in the MadMan's extra DVD along with many other gems :wahah:.

Wow! Those are cool gifs. In what program do you make them strange wings?

Here's my process (Strange Wings' may differ):

Get an AVI clip of the episode, save a segment of it using VirtualDub (mark the start and end, then save AVI clip).
Load the AVI segment into Animation Shop (comes with Paint Shop Pro).
From there, you can scroll through the frames, delete any you want, crop the scene, etc. It's so simple to use.
Save As ... animated GIF.

I'm not Strange Wings, but I use http://www.moviegear.com/ . I have to do them from .avi files though, mpg won't work. I also have to cut the vid to keep only the part I want or it's too big for the software.
