Mecha: The book of Genisis

Let's see if we can follow the chain of creation through the history of Mecha in Anime.

"In the beginning, the paper was without mark and shade and light reflected from its plain surface for there was yet to be idea, concept and design."

"And lo the God of Manga passed pencil and ink upon the firmament of the paper. Giving shape in line and tone. From this came forth boots and big eyes and a pointy head. And the God of Manga when he was done looked over creation and said. "I give thee a name that embraces respect to the matter from which forth all life spring yet in respect for such power I give thee a name that will be remembered for kindness, heroism, love and tenderness. I give thee name Tetsuwan Atom."

And lo passed the first creation of anime mecha.
