In The Human-Faced Rock, Astro is dressed when he hears Daddy Walrus screaming for help, undressed as he goes to help him and dressed again right after, so apparently he took the time to undress even though it was quite an emergency! :P

I have an explanation: In the 12 issue series Secret Wars, Spiderman somehow finds a new 'costume' that can take the form of any type of garment. Too bad for him, he learned from Reed Richards (long after returning to Earth, after the 12th of 12 volume) that it was a parasite that was trying to seize control over his body. So, it seems Atom has one of those. :D

Okay, let's see what kind of explanation you'll find for these, obviously taken from Goliath's Head:

Astro's shirt is changing color:

I was once interested in making my own computer game, so I bought & read a few books on the subject. I remember reading about the human perception of color. There was something about perceiving two separate colors as one different color when the image was very small.

Note the medium red band on the hero's shirt & the medium to light blue one below it (top photo). Now, examine the one band in the bottom picture. It (to me) has neither of the hues of the first picture. The red band in the top pic is about the same width as the band in the bottom pic, yet the figure is clearly more distant than in the top pic. Although I think a combination of the 2 hues (top) would result in a more purple color, the bottom picture's band is noticably darker red than the top one. I believe the animators' did just what I said.

I remember playing DOOM, & when approaching a dark wall, it seemed to be alive, in that the pixels were changing colors slightly. Rather than this being from a monster, it was simply the rendering of the hues that were beyond the 256 colors in the current pallet. That is, DOOM used only 256 colors, but by combining various hues in closely grouped pixels, could simulate other colors not in the pallet because of the eye's perception of these was as one solid patch of color. Does this make sense?

Yes I think I understand, but even from a more distant viewpoint, I still see blue and red, though it does have a little bit of that purple effect if I take a quick look at it:

Here is a bigger version of the second picture:

I think we're close enough to be able to easily distinguish the blue from the red.

Also, while searching for the above picture, I found this one:

No stripes at all!

Did anybody find the second mistake? :) I also have another one coming!

Yeah, we kind of have to guess it's there... But I was speaking of the 4 pics I posted after I spoke about the first shirt color mistake. Has anybody seen it? :)

Okay, so since either nobody noticed the problem or just decided not to post it, the question is: how many buttons are there on Dr. Elefun's suit?

Image
One? :)

Image
Or two? :P

Image
Maybe three?

Image
How about four? :wahah:

I believe four is the right number. B)

Still in Goliath's Head, Dr. Elefun's buttons keep switching color, on more than one occasions and in adjacents frames!

Finally, Skunk loses his hat as he falls down after getting out of the tank, but miraculously wears it again a few frames later!
