Media player?
Does it suck that bad I had it play the Astro Boy DVD episodes from the DVD set on my PC and the picture lagged the sound was going ahead of the movie itself?

Ha... here I have a little bit of sound problems when I watch DVD on my computer. I don't know if it's related to the sound card (it's more than 5 years old) but especially when there is music, it's not very good... It's okay if there is only a voice speaking, but it can't handle properly much more than that.
Maybe I should do some ressearch to figure out what's wrong. I haven't done it since it doesn't really bother me. My computer isn't where I like to watch DVDs.
Edit: I've just noticed your title. Are you talking specifically about Windows Media Player? Because I use PowerDVD to watch DVDs. I don't know what it does in WMP, I don't think I've ever tried it.

I tried Power DVD 5 it either said its copyrighter cant play or it plays and lags the sound and no picture, so I did Media player it played but every other line the picture lagged I think it might be the DVD player maybe the discs have no scratches or marks or anything on them.

Which series gives you trouble? There are several. I have Power DVD 5.0, & have had no trouble with anything lately, that was the fault of the software. However, with 2 region 1 DVD drives, I have had occasions when the older drive ( a Samsung) had trouble reading a disc that played flawlessly on the newer drive ( a Sony). Yet, never had the sound out of sync with the picture.
I have a DVD that has a certain portion of its subtitles that is out of sync with the sound and picture, but that is the DVD itself, not the fault of the equipment.
