The forum's old version had the member's registering number appearing below the usename. I think I was stated as 'member no.189', but I'm not certain about it. I remember about DrFrag being 'no.4'.
For me it has been 3 years since february 10th. Still it's the forum I'm always returning to, like the child to his.. er...

I've just checked in the Admin Panel and unfortunately I can't see any member's number. I'm sure there are and that they are still in use but I can't see them.
Maybe I could by checking the souce page.

Edit: and indeed I can, and you remember well, it's 189!

If anybody wonders, go to the public profile of a member, take a look at the html source code and search for u= .

Woo! #39!
or #24 if you skip empty numbers. #4 is Kelpie, aka The Moderator We Never See.
I joined about two months after the forums opened. I think I was in the practice of looking for an Astroboy forum every now and then. Before that the onle one was run by someone whose name I can't remember ... started with a J ... but it was abandoned and so full of messages no one could post anymore. For a while I was running one at ezboard called Astroboy Forever (coincidentally
) but it disappeared when the membership of the founding admin expired. I think it only had a couple of hundred messages, nothing like this site. We're up to 32,000 posts for a single anime forum!
That name will forever give me feelings of mirth and horror.

The first site I ever visited in relation with Astroboy has been Astro Forever's former 'Astro le petit robot' website more than 4 years ago.
I hope the mirth outweights the horror.
I'm still in contact with our alter ego, we keep phoning each other at least twice a month. Being the youth pastor he is, he stayed at my home over the weekend 3 weeks ago to render some moral support. He has been at a military refreshing course, and having free time on weekends, he was able accommodating at my house saturday to sunday. Wearing his uniform, he could travel per rail for free (now that I'm considering this, perhaps he might lend me his uniform once a while for that matter :lol
.
A 25 year lasting friendship hardly fades.
