I had thought of posting the now famous answer of Miss Teen South Carolina in last week's Miss Teen USA contest as a caption, but then got scared it might sound political to those who hadn't heard of this, so I refrained.

(I feel sorry for the poor girl, I thought the question was impossible and I wouldn't have known what to answer myself; it's really too bad that everybody will remember her only for that, but still, I found it funny! )

I would be mortified to stand in front of an audience & try to answer anything, much less a question I had not expected. But it is true that public education in the USA is more concerned with avioding hurt feelings than education itself. I could go on, but I will save it for the mods forum. I have something you will not believe!

I didn't understand a thing in her answer, so I didn't even take it as a critique of the US education system. It just didn't make sense at all to me.
