Black Jack

Well, I just started watching it--for the first time, yes, shove off--and I figured why the hell not. So let's talk about Black Jack.
He is a god.


Here are some random thoughts I had about episode one, which I just finished. By the by, I am watching the Japanese version, 2004/2005 anime.

Janne Da Arc did the opening, and that's awesome.
The first half of the first episode got me hooked, but the second half was way too screwy. "LOL the needle just kinda popped out without hurting anything!" That's impossible, and Tezuka-sama would have a fit if he saw that. XD
Plus the ending theme was just plain scary. At first struck me as, "Oh that's sort of cutish, an annoying love song from annoying Pinoko."
But then, she sang: "I'm laying on the grill being heated by you to the point that I change colours."
I SWEAR TO BLACK JACK THOSE ARE THE REAL LYRICS.

I have yet to read/watch Black Jack myself, i would like to see it on youtube but thats `...` without any sound.
i did once wacthed the Movie 1993/1995 ? it was pretty good, only i'm a bit suspious about what's going on between Pinoko and Black Jack...

I don't really think BJ is interested. It's Pinoko who's doing all the chasing and Black Jack is just going, "Whatever."

Oh yeah did I mention that I can't stand Pinoko or her squealing voice? ^^

I have seen Black Jack about a year ago, and I cannot remember I watch so many Anime.

But, she is so cute, & her voice fits her perfectly. In the 7 disc series of the '90s, her voice actress was the same one who gave voice to Tenchi's Mihoshi.

Her voice is so screechy I can't take it.

And have you heard the end credits? I'm serious, those are real lyrics!!

I agree with Daichi on this one. I do find Black Jack cool, but Pinoko is SO annoying and horrible sounding....she sounds like a cat under a lawnmower... Some VA's from older animes sometimes lose their nice voices...It happens. I REALLY CANNOT stand those ending lyrics! Who the heck thought those out? Seriously come on! Im a huge anime fan, but some songs (that one in particular) need to be remixed badly. Or trashed and redone completely. Play me some Final Fantasy music any day...
