I had heard several times of "Midoro swamp" in the 1960s Astroboy, and thought it was familiar. Now I remember: it is a swamp in
Zelda II where is located the
second palace.
Any idea whether it is a reference or simply a coincidence?
This post is not limited to this one. I think I remember there were a few other times when I had wondered about that, but sometimes in the thick of action I didn't make note. I had noted several years ago there was a "Tezuka" in the credits, but it is "Takahashi Tezuka". Not a reference, clearly a coincidence this time

The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.
