Super Mario Galaxy 2 - My Wii is used once more!

Postby The Tawashi Bus Hat » 15 years ago

I went to the 24 hour Wal Mart in the next town over, waited by the register at 11:59, and walked out of the store with my copy at 12:05 (along with a case of Red Bull).

So far, my sister and I have gotten 20 stars, and my god....it is fantastic.

It is getting pretty close to being the best Mario game I have ever seen. I mean, it fixed everything wrong with the original, and added so much more. I'm really just speechless due to the fact that it is so perfect. I can see why IGN gave it a 10/10!!! (and we all know IGN is the basefront for xbox fanboys...no offense to xbox or fanboys...) The camera could be tweaked, but hey - I'm not complaining. :D

One thing I'm really digging about it is the fact that the 2-player is SO MUCH BETTER. I mean, my sister is the one that plays the Mario games (I'm all about Zelda, baby!) and I always watch her. But, I've played right next to her since last night, and I'm actually HELPING!!! :w00t: I love being that little Luma.

...*cough* So, yeah...

...anyone else played it yet?

( :tenma: w00t, my 100th post! Mwahaha!)

(Well, technically, the last game IGN gave a 10 on was Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots...
...but, who's counting? It's still a miracle.) :w00t:

I haven't been a lot in Mario since Mario64 and SunShine. While I enjoy the games, I often have troubles with camera "trying to help me" :d oh: Is there the same problem with SMG 2, or maybe it doesn't really apply because of the Wiimote? (I don't have a Wii... yet)

Like you, I prefer Zelda by far anyway ;) I have all of them except the CD-i ones.
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Meh, 3D Mario games will always have quirks with the camera. THANKFULLY, SMG2 has the most player-friendly one I've experienced. There are one or two levels where it likes to swing around too quickly and make you a bit queasy, but it behaves itself mostly.

One thing I'd like to mention, though, is that during the battle with the dragon/worm thing, the camera likes to go everywhere. I think that was done on purpose to make it that much harder, but still... :d oh:

By money limits, he means we have a limit to how much money we could spend...
