I have already finished normal mode, and I am near finishing the hard mode. This one really deserved its name As soon as I have finished hard mode I will tell you if there is something after the 8th stage, but I highly doubt there will

Ok, I have finished the hard mode... Even when cheating it is really hard
However there is absolutely nothing more than when finishing the other modes.
By playing in an emulator I could save/load the state of the game, therefore achieving cheating and ending the game without losing a single live, without the game's knowledge. So I am quite confident there is really nothing special.

If you want to get to those stages, I believe you need to defeat the 7 stages, and then beat them again after you able to use 'Stage Select'.

Beating all of the stages in Stage Select, should unlock the other stages.

It is really a fantastic game. I think there's a good faq on gamefaqs, so you can probably get any other questions you have answered there. I kept forgetting to do the air-dash in the shooter stages which sucks since it is pretty well required.

Funny how this game got me into Tezuka in the first place. I mean, it is a nice game, but Tezuka is probably one of the best creators of comics...ever...!

I remember this stage when I played the game several years ago. I don't remember anything particular, meaning I probably didn't run into problems.
If you could provide a screenshot of the part were there is nowhere to go, I may remember something (apparently you are using ZSNES so you should be able to get a screenshot with the printscreen key).
