She is right, Atomu does have brown Eyes. Oddly, it is Leo (Kimba) who has the blue eyes. I think this was a concession to the American NBC in the hopes of making a character more appealing to Caucasians, whom the Japanese might have thought were predominantly blue eyed.

I've seen Astro drawn with blue eyes on many occasions though, and for some reason it looks natural for me. I can't explain why!

Yes, I actually DO know that Astro has brown eyes, however Kirby has Blue eyes! So there I didn't think it'd be right to change his eye color.
