One among the rare moments when Livian gets angry. I guess she was just plain
fed up with having to work with zero IQ robot servants.

Beautiful pictures! I've just realized that I never really paid any attention to her.

I don't get how she could remain with Atlas. He does so many things she doesn't agree with, yet she seems to genuinely love him and willing to live with him.

 It's perhaps also a hormonal question. Since I'm a guy it's only natural that I find her attractive.

I don't know, it's hard relating to how she feels. From a female point of view, you can't deny Atlas is very well built and has a neat tan :p . What's more, since Atlas recreated Livian he might be in her good books.
Livian is the perfect counterpart for a character like Atlas. There are many moments in the series where Livian shows him how vulnerable he actually is.
I think Livian didn't love Atlas at all at first, she was rather forced living with him (e.g. 'The Crystal Of The Desert'). It's Atlas who fell in love with Livian in the first place. However, eventually, Livian grew more and more fond of him, as we can see at the end of 'The Runaway Subway Train' where Livian convinces Atlas to return to the Crystal Castle. I think that was the turning point for Livian to accept her predestination.
Another indication of Livian changing her mind can be witnessed in the french version: At first she addressed Atlas using the 'vous' form, in later episodes (at the end of 'À toute vitesse'?) she switched over to 'tu' terms with him.

Finally, they both loved each other so much that they decided to disappear together in the void.

Aye, I love Livian too, and for some reason it's Space Goddess Livian that gets me more.

This one reminds me of Cat's Paw or was it called Catspaw? & one of my favorite Trek lines:
"I have the power, Sylvia."
"Yes, but you're afraid to use it!

I always liked Livian, her proportions are far more realistic than other adult female robots. Despite her lack of O. F., she defied Atlas many times. I wonder if Tezuka had a thing for tragic female robots? Cleopatra was also basically a good girl, but her master forced her to do evil. When she finally had enough of it, she self-terminated, taking him with her. BTW, I will upload her story either tomorrow or Tuesday. :astro:

Wow. She IS beautiful. I think my favorite female Tezuka characters are still Princess Sapphire and Epsilon, but she's definetly up there with them now :D

Maybe apart from the wind-up key sticking in the back of her head. This makes me grin every time I spot it, especially on frames where she's looking rather serious (as it's mostly the case with her). It adds so much to her cuteness.

He must have had indeed. Also remember 'Robio & Robiette, although they were a couple, the impact of tragedy at the ep's end emphasises Tezuka's fondness for tragic relationships. The story of Konrad and Mitsy in 'The White Planet' might be a further reference.
