Yeah! you need a animation engine to create those sort of titles, they're not something splashed together on movie maker that's why i'm assuming it's real since it also advertises the dvd and blue ray.

Your spoof was funny and we "got it" right away -- this looked like it could be real, so the let-down is greater (I went searching for "proof" but couldn't find any). I thought they were originally showing the movie in Imax theatres in 3D -- not sure....

Hmm...I remember reading some time back about Sony's 3D TV, and that it had something like a demo video for customers to see what the TV could do. And an Astro Boy clip was part of that demo. Maybe this Youtube video is that clip?

I have to add...that trailer points out some of the mistakes Summit made with the movie's advertising. That trailer makes no reference to Astro Boy's history, nor does it even try to remind audiences of his status as an icon. It's just a bunch of random scenes slapped together that don't make a lot of sense. Boo to Summit. It kills just about every movie it gets ahold of.

Great! Converting the movie to 3D would be easy. If the movie is on the computer it can be rerendered in 3D. But if they just convert it to red blue 3D it won't be that great. It should have been rendered in 3D to begin with!
