I could understand if the animal had hurt someone, but that ISN'T the case. Plus folks from around the world were willing to adopt him - so this is just barbaric in my mind. That law needs to be rebuked. I feel sorry for his family, too.
My husband had a lab-doberman mix when I met him (Pepper). She scared me to death . . . until I got to know her (behind her scary bark was a
of gold. At the very least, these officers could have kept Lennox someplace safe and humane as possible while this was being worked out. They probably resented the rest of the world commenting on their responsiblities, but clearly this is a law with flaws.
