I have been around long enough to realize that far too few regard human life as sacred. More than a few of our forum's members are rather young, & to them, such things must seem rather shocking. I daresay the sinking of the Lusitania back in WWI shocked them then. But now, it is not hostile nations, so much as individuals who do such things.

I am loosing hope for the human race, or at least a good part of it.

I don't remember who it was, but someone (on Twitter?) reminded everyone that in Boston, the number of people who gave everything they had to help the injured was a lot higher than the number of those who had wanted to hurt them. (It was a lot better written than that, of course!)

Well, at least the train WASN'T destroyed.
So I suppose we could be thankful for that.

I heard about that today. That is only about 25 minutes from where I live. So it kind of hits home for me. I'm just glad they got caught.
