I just wish the English dub wouldn't have gotten rid of all of those cute parts(like Astro chasing Zoran all over Metro City when she was first created)! DX

Yeah, and like the part where Astro boy and his friends were wearing silly looking hats(Though, I can't remember which episode it was from, or even if it was taken out or not. Actually, I don't think it was removed. I think I remember seeing it in the english dub if I'm not mistaken.) Yeah, that's all I remember. My memory is very faint on the 2003 series.[/QUOTE]

Oooh! I love the hats scene!! XD
That one is from the episode where "Princess Abby" comes to Metro Vity and Astro and his friends are trying to protect her.
And yes, it WAS cut from the English dub. ;-;

My favorite Miyazaki films were Princess Manonoke and Nausicaa Valley of the Wind; two of his more serious films.

Just bringing this thread back to life :)

I loved Mononoke Hime/Princess Mononoke! Though parents probably will hate it because it has LOTs of battle scenes and a young boy bleeds a lot from fighting bad people.

San (The main character of Mononoke Hime) lives with a colony of white wolves and it kind of reminds me of your OC Angel Keidensu.

I love the parts in Castle in The Sky where Pazu and Sheeta ride those wicked flying machines. I'm crazy about stuff that can fly :D

Sounds good. I just put "castle in the sky" on hold for me at the library.

Any other recommendations?

I saw spirited away when it first came out on DVD, might borrow it again from the library.

Here is my list of great Ghibli films:

1. Kiki's Delivery Service (She's in Kaze Ni Naru, too)
2. Arrietty (You've watched it. My favorite!) :D
3. Castle in the Sky (If you like robots, watch this)
4. From up on Poppy Hill (But I hate the English version)
5. Tales from Earthsea (About magicians, dragons and the true meaning of life)
6. Ponyo (This one is too cute to miss! It's about a little fish that can turn into a five-year-old girl)
7. Howl's Moving Castle (The Ultimate Ghibli Classic.)
