Can you believe I've tried to post this three times? Every time I try to post this much text, the forum crashes, and I've resorted to trying to post this through a proxy server. This is the last half of chapter one, and chapter two will be on the way as soon as I figure out what's going on with the internet.


“Children, this is Dr. Shikishima,” Ochanomizu added quickly. “He called me in to tell me about the discovery of this robot, Tetsujin 28.”
The children went to the banister, looking down to find an enormous black robot strapped into a mould on a lower level. The robot’s dark appearance was only livened up by two stripes around its torso and a long, pointed nose.
“This is what was taking in so much power, right?” Astro asked.
“Tetsujin’s a relic from the last arms race, so his battery is a little outrageous,” said Shikishima. “Shotaro’s father built him just over nine years ago.”
Uran looked displeased. “They should’ve made him ten feet shorter, at least…”
“Well, we’re going to test out his powers as soon as the energy registers in his system, and then we’ll work towards replacing his inside mechanics. Saturday night, there’s going to be a public meeting where we show him off.”

...This is incredibly annoying, and I don't know why it won't let me post more than this. I'd recommend you guys just look at it on my FF.net account, since it'll be eight posts a chapter at this rate. In later chapters, look forward to Skunk, Kenichi, Tamao, Tenma, and Tawashi showing up. Tell me if I should put in anyone else!

It's got to be the forum, Fauna, because the same thing just happened to me responding to a thread on the General Discussion section!

Astro and Uran: Trouble in Hollywood
a fan story by Anime Girl 14

PART ONE

It was a sunny day in Metro City, a futuristic town in Japan. The sun was shining, flowers were blooming, and many kids were playing outside. But Astro Boy's little sister, Uran, was at home, waiting impatiently on her family's front porch for the mailman to come. She entered a contest for fans of the Princess Knight manga. People who wanted to enter the contest, had to write a fan fiction manga story, mail it to the magazine company, and then the editors had to choose which fan mangas they liked the best. Ten first prize winners get to go on a trip to Hollywood to see the filming of the movie that was being made based off the manga. Uran had entered that contest, and the contest results were supposed to come in the mail today. Uran was anxious to know if she won the trip. Finally, after what seemed like hours, the mailman arrived.

"Excuse me," said the stout mailman, "Does a 'Miss Uran' live here?"

"That's me!" confirmed Uran.

"Well, looks like you have a letter." said the mailman, "Looks important too.' he added,"Well, have a good day, little girl" he said, and then he left and drove away.

"YAY!" shouted Uran, "Maybe I won." she said hopefully. Then she took a minute to open, and read the letter. She was really surprised. She could not believe what she read. Quickly she read it again, to make sure she was reading it right. Just at that momment, Astro just came home from school, thankfully the last day of school of the year. Uran ran to him to show the letter.

"Astro!" shouted Uran,"Look what this letter says!"

"What does it say Astro?" asked Mom, wondering what was going on.

Astro read the letter out loud. It said " Dear Uran, We have read your manga that you've sent to our contest. The editors of Shojo Beat magazine really enjoyed your entry. It was hard to pick just ten winners, but we are happy to say that you are one of our lucky ten, who get to go on a trip to Hollywood, California, USA , to see the filming of the movie Princess Knight, based off of the manga series. In a couple of days, we will send out plane tickets, and backstage passes for your trip. You are allowed to bring two friends, and one adult, only. We hope to see you there in a few days. Signed, The Staft at Shojo Beat magazine."

"Wow!" said Astro, "You get to go on a trrip to Hollywood."

"Who said that you're not going too?" asked Uran, "I'm inviting you, too. And Melmo, and also Mr. Mustachio. If you want to come anyways, Astro." she said, remembering to be considerate.

"Oh boy, sure!" replied Astro,"If it's okay with Mom and Dad, of course."

"I say so." said Dad.

"I guess if you're going with Mr. Mustachio, and if it's okay with Melmo's parents, I don't see why not." replied Mom. Then she called Melmo's Mother and Father, and they said she could go, as long as she behaves and everything.

"Yay! Whoo-hoo!" cheers Astro.

"We're going to Hollywood!" shouts Uran, with her eyes sparkling with stars dancing in her puples, excited and happy.

I wish i had great idea's for fan stories like you, Anime Girl.
Edit:I know, I'll write about Astro and friends going on a ship, I saw a 60' comic of Astro Boy (on another topic) about Astro going on a boat with Daddy Walrus. (hope you don't think I'm copying you, Anime Girl.) It will be like part two.

Here is my next fan story called Trouble aboard the Sea Monster (Sorry it took so long!) Hope you like it.

It was just another day at Metal City, and Astro, Uran, and Astra where all on there way to Dr. Elefun’s office at the Ministry Of Science.
“I wonder what Dr. Elefun called us for?” said Astro. He, Uran, and Astra had been called by Dr. Elefun, he had said that he had a surprise for them.
“I wonder what surprise he has for us,” said Uran, picking flowers as they walked along. When they finally got to the Ministry Of Science, the went strait to Dr. Elefun’s office.
“You called for us, Dr. Elefun?” said Astro. Astro, Uran, and Astra went up to Dr. Elefun’s desk.
Uran stepped up on a stool, since she was too short.
“Yes,” said Dr. Elefun, smiling, “Do any of you know of the new ocean cruiser that was being made?” he asked them.
“I know,” said Astro and Astra at the same time, “there is a new ocean cruiser, called the Sea Monster, being made. It is going to be very big, with lots of rooms and activities.” said Astro.
“Yes, and the Sea Monster is already done,” said Dr. Elefuun, “The company asked me if I would like to come, and if I could take you all along with me.”
“But why didn’t you invite Boomer and Aimer?” asked Astra.
“Well, they have to spend some time with they’re new families,” explained Dr. Elefun, “And anyways they wanted Astro to come.”
“But I have to cheek with Mother and Father,” said Astro, “You know how they are.”
“I already asked them,” said Dr. Elefun, “They are glad I’m going along.”
“We better start packing!” said Uran, “When are we going to go?”
“Tomorrow at ten o’clock,” replied Dr. Elefun, “your parents said you and Uran can stay over tonight.” He took out a paper and showed them there tickets, “I’ll hold them for you kids.”
“I cant believe it!” cried Astra, “we’re going on vacation!” Uran and Astra started to dance around.
“Uran and I will be back in a little while,” said Astro, “We are going to pack our stuff. C’mon Uran!” he called to his sister.
“Coming!” she replied. She was super excited!
