i wish you guys could see the last six episodes of the new version before you judged! everything in the new series leads up to a final confrontation between robots and humans that is thrilling and some of the most exciting and dramatic animation i have ever worked on.

Who's WillHeim? Is he one of the animators of Astroboy 2003?

i personally believe the 60's cartoon is the best. only because its the first and best. also, its originally created by tezuka himself. unless the 80's one was too ;)

Circular reasoning is when you cite as evidence your conclusion. Hence, "i personally believe the 60's cartoon is the best. only because its the first and best." :D OK, you probably did not want that type of response, but tough. See Constructing a Logical Argument & scroll down to Circulus in demonstrando

And just think I live in Europe. Here it is already a miracle just to have the episodes in English illegally through the Internet :P They don't like Astro because he doesn't grab enough money  And I suspect Astro can't grab enough money because he is not published enough :(
The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

Personally, from a design perspective, I kinda like the 1970s time traveling Armour Astroboy from 4th Grader magazine. It's a shame they didn't continue that series. It could've been interesting.

It would be nice if they did a new version of that armour in the new show.

You're also forgetting about Astro mk.II. He was a major league slimeball, but he was funny as hell.

There were all sorts of Astroboys, come to think of it.

Ambassador Atom, Omega Factor Astro(I guess he counts as a different character since the game is in a different continuity), Astro Badboy(I think that was his name) from "Bad guy robots", Astroman, Astrotoy(that little thing created by Dr.Foola),Human Astro(from Dr.Blackjack), the Astrobabies(From I am Knowall),Buzzcut Astroboy & let's not forget all those riddiculous bargain basement Astroboys created by Mk.II.
When a man who's hung like a horse isn't enough, they find a guy with 100,000 horsepower!

Astroboys & the women who love them, next on Sick Sad World!

These episodes draw their plot from the manga, & follow it very closely. It is in Volume 19.
