LOL! I didn't expect my first post to get multiple responces. Was it becuase I said Astro was flying in his underpants or something? I will never understand how these discussion pages will work. Go figure.

If I recall correctly, in the 1980's series they had some kind of artificial skin with the pants already on it that they pulled over Astro's metal body...
