I always wondered what it would sound like if Freddie Mercury would have sung the Astroboy credits.
He was very fond of the Japanese culture, and I'm sure he also must have been aware of Dr. Tezuka's works.

ohhhhh what a great idea!!! I actually got to see Queen live in a small B'way theater - they were the OPENING ACT for Mot the Hoople (I'm dating myself!)

I actually won tickets from the late, great WNEW FM, and let me tell you something, that man could SING!!! And I left thinking "Queen is gonna be a bigger band than Mot the Hoople" and I sure was right! :w00t:

Wow, you did? Gosh, that must've been fantastic! The only chance I got to see Queen live was in 2005, with Paul Rodgers singing. I thought he did a great job, in spite of lacking the stage presence and flamboyance FM had. And when they got to play BoRhap, they projected images of Freddie on a screen behind the drum riser. I couldn't barely hold back the tears...
*rocks out to "Tie Your Mother Down"*

Mot the Hoople were great, too! "All The Young Dudes" sure is an all-time classic. :D

Oh, it was an INCREDIBLE concert - the Uris Theatre, and I was dead-center and about a third of the way back, so I had fabulous seats! Turns out it was right before Brian May fell ill - here are links about it

Both bands were fabulous and had incredible stage presence - yes, they did "All the Young Dudes" together.

Now if they only could have broken into "Astro Boy bombs away.....!!!" Or better yet - in Japanese! :w00t:
