I also learned that the automated weather station transmission only seems to be on when the tower is closed, I can only hear it when the automated terminal information service channel said the tower is closed and the weather is on 128.625.

I also learned that it is almost impossible to understand pilots, I was listening in on their radio traffic and couldn't make heads or tails of what they were saying, just a bunch of numbers and words representing letters.

That brings back memories from about 35 years ago when I was learning to fly. I got my private pilot's license in 1980 and had a 1/10 share in a Citabria for over ten years. That was a fun airplane (the name comes from Aerobatic spelled backwards sorta-kinda).

I learned today that MY ASPARAGUS ARE UP!!

So I picked 5 of 'em, lightly steamed them and topped with poached eggs for breakfast. YUM!!

And yesterday I learned that QuarkXpress has Text-to-Table and Table-to-Text ability like MS Word . . . and saved myself a LOT of time!

also listening to air traffic control is more interesting when you have 2 radios.
