Hey guys I got Call of Duty Black Ops today. If any of you guys have played any other call of duty and thought about this one. Now so far I'm liking it a lot.
It is very different from Modern Warfare 2 and is a lot harder. In some other people's opinions Black Ops take more "skill" and you can't get cheap kills all the time in Black Ops. Treyarch has added a better more balanced online play. If you're going to start out online on this game I recommend unlocking the M16, MP5, AK-74u, and the FAMAS first.
The guns have more recoil and there is no stopping power perk. The ballistic knife and crossbow are surprisingly harder to use than I thought. If you have played World at War you probably remember the MP40, the MP5K is the official re-incarnation of the MP40 from WaW.
Over all it is a lot better than MW2 I will say. If you're a Call of Duty fan and didn't like MW2 I recommend giving this a try if you are into online FPS games.
Also Zombies from WaW is in this game. This Call of Duty has the best singleplayer campaign out of all the CoD games, at least in my opinion.

I heard there's still a commando lunge, is that true?

There is no commando perk in the game. There are some moments in this where there are some BS knife kills in a few other Call of Duty, MW2 was the worst because they made the lung even further than the lunge in other call of duty's, black ops included. To top it off they even made it worse so as people can move faster with lightweight and have unlimited sprint with marathon.
I do play counter-strike and stabbing someone with a knife in that game is actually very hard. In Call of Duty, sometimes not always but there is an auto aim that is involved most of the time with knifing and it's an instant kill which is stupid IMO.If someone is complaining about a commando lunge in black ops, it's actually the knifing system in general.

Sometimes it sorta depends. It is harder to knife someone but if a person gets lucky sometimes the auto aim will help them and the second they click the thumbstick, your dead. It still in a way is there, it's just not as bad.

That's good and more good news I might get black ops from my friend's sister who work at best buy and she might give me a discount

I was a Dreamcast fanboy back in its day (its launch title, Sonic Adventure, is my favorite game of all time), but otherwise I don't see what makes me look like a Sega fan in what I said.
To see how hardcore I used to be: check this page. My name is listed third now, but at some point I was first for many years. It's a speedrunning site. You can see some of my videos here. I also still own the record for the Sonic segment of that game on Speed Demos Archive.
Dr. Jerk: no problem at all, my info's in my profile if you want to go ahead.
Regarding Mega Man, me and an old friend I haven't seen in years used to play the games a lot on the SNES, but I was so young that I don't remember them too well. As a young adult, I started playing Mega Man 1 on NES and GB, and Mega Man 2 (which instantly became one of my favorite games of all time). Then I kinda stopped playing games as I was making my way through Mega Man 3. So I regret to say I haven't played that many MM games.
