no,one night i went down to get a drink and when i went back up i turned to the wall and saw my shadow with eyes and a mouth and said "hello maggie" and i ran up the stairs and back to sleep.

Sounds like you have a "ghost" (ghost/spirit/entity) in your house. I've lived/worked in haunted places. Some people are sensitive to them, others (generally the non-believers) are not. I've had WAAAAY TOO MANY experiences to deny "there's something out there" (but I suppose this is for another thread!).
