Anybody here watch CAPRICA? It seems this story has a solution, but it does require some preparation.

Oh! That sounds interesting. Where can I watch it? :)

Also, does Ghost in the Shell deal with the idea of human-->robot form? If so, I feel I should watch it for its perspective.

I know that the new shows will resume in 2010, but the SCIENCE FICTION CHANNEL's website might have episodes online. I think the new logo is 'SYFY,' BUT i AM UNSURE ABOUT THE 2ND 'Y' :p

Ghost in the Shell: I think so; I am think that the most human-like robots are the TACHICOMA, though they resemble 4 legged spiders, their AI becomes very much like human.

It said that blue and red core energy came from 1 star, but how would that work if they neutralize each other? While the idea of Astro not realizing he was a robot makes an interesting story, I still can't fathom him getting memories from hair. Memories are unique from the genetic code, or DNA. What information you acquire in life is not stored in DNA. That's like saying if I get a tattoo on one part of my skin, the other skin cells should have the information to make a tattoo. Or being able to write with the right hand and naturally you can write with the left hand just as well.
You seem missunderstand the concept of Deoxyribonucleic acid or (DNA) (i did spell it :p ) DNA is your blueprint and we are not sure what is in the DNA beyond ok your looks and body ext. we do not know much as much as people think. but i cannot say that our memories can or cannot be found in DNA but i can say however color dye doesn't affect the DNA if you pull DNA from the Tattooed part of you then you'll get your DNA and the dye but still know its you and however, being naturally left handed ( like me) and being able to do things with your right is a learned technique.while we cannot say much about human DNA we know that its a fair chance of humans doing all kinds of things. also the science in the movie is rather out there but its all for fun and movie
You're left handed? Me too :w00t: . Did you know that we are considered to be handicapped since almost everything is made for right handed people. We can get scholarships for being left handed :D

So anyways, you're right, Astronomical. Right now, we don't know every little detail there is to know about DNA or what we can do with it, but since the movie's time was in the future, it might have been possible to get memories from a strand of hair. As for the floating city, even though it would take a lot of energy, they might have developed a smarter way to get energy from nuclear power, without expelling as much waste.
how small is the world we living in  and yes,i am left handed

I'm left handed too, but also a little right. I'll write and draw with my left hand but I'll use scissors or the computer mouse with my right. So I'm a mix. You know they say left handed people are more creative? ^-^

As for the DNA, it's science fiction, anything's possible. But memories to DNA has been proven in some ways. This man had a heart transplant and he begun looking and doing things that his donor enjoyed doing from eating certian foods and doing some crazy sport. It actually made him a better person since he'd always been grumpy.

I think this was because the special DNA that's in your brain is also in your heart, and could be in every part of your body. Although it was some time ago so I don't know. It would've made more sense if Tenma implant Toby's brain into a robot. Now that's a Ghost in the Shell plot for you XD

but I've heard of ghost in a shell but never saw the series is it good? But Tenma putting Tobio's brain in would be too Frankenstien :p

Yes, generally speaking - generally - left-handed people are more creative, because the left side of your body is controlled by the right side of your brain, which is kinda weird

Go ahead, I'd love to see how many are left handed on ths forum.

Hey, if Astro's a robot does that mean he can write with both hands? x3 they should've had something that crazy in the movie, but then he can do so many things already it would've been better to give him weaknesses. Bet he can't dance, that'd be funny to see. XD
