It said that blue and red core energy came from 1 star, but how would that work if they neutralize each other? While the idea of Astro not realizing he was a robot makes an interesting story, I still can't fathom him getting memories from hair. Memories are unique from the genetic code, or DNA. What information you acquire in life is not stored in DNA. That's like saying if I get a tattoo on one part of my skin, the other skin cells should have the information to make a tattoo. Or being able to write with the right hand and naturally you can write with the left hand just as well.
You seem missunderstand the concept of Deoxyribonucleic acid or (DNA) (i did spell it

) DNA is your blueprint and we are not sure what is in the DNA beyond ok your looks and body ext. we do not know much as much as people think. but i cannot say that our memories can or cannot be found in DNA but i can say however color dye doesn't affect the DNA if you pull DNA from the Tattooed part of you then you'll get your DNA and the dye but still know its you and however, being naturally left handed ( like me) and being able to do things with your right is a learned technique.while we cannot say much about human DNA we know that its a fair chance of humans doing all kinds of things. also the science in the movie is rather out there but its all for fun and movie
You're left handed? Me too

. Did you know that we are considered to be handicapped since almost everything is made for right handed people. We can get scholarships for being left handed
So anyways, you're right, Astronomical. Right now, we don't know every little detail there is to know about DNA or what we can do with it, but since the movie's time was in the future, it might have been possible to get memories from a strand of hair. As for the floating city, even though it would take a lot of energy, they might have developed a smarter way to get energy from nuclear power, without expelling as much waste.
how small is the world we living in

and yes,i am left handed
