I will state this, that there were parts or elements that this film actually represented in the true image of the original story arc better than the 2003 did. In both the manga & B&W anime, Tenma eventually sees his error & repents. While in a few stories he had been against Atom, there were others in which he was aiding him, & even had affection for him. So, while the 2003 made Tenma a nut, here he comes to his senses after having rejected his creation.
