They seem to have placed the title in the wrong table. Astro Boy vs. The Junkyard Pirates is not a video-game but a short film included on the home video release of Astro Boy as a bonus feature. It was seemingly based on a deleted scene, but made to look like it happens after the movie.

The '09 movie? Good: Yes, Great: Maybe, but Excellent: No. I understand that many people loved that movie, however as I have seen the '80 and the '03 series the film simply seems too different.

also the fact that the whole things was a blow to the name of Astro boy

But there was a good thing about that movie: sure, it might have damaged Astro's reputation a bit, just a bit, however the name "Astro Boy" was just starting to slip out of everyone's minds at that time. The film kind of "revived" Astro, and if the people loved it then they would automatically look back at the series before the film and it helps make more Astro Boy fans and keeps Astro Boy running .
