There is no better way to learn a language than to listen to a show you like!

If I had realized Astro was also playing in English when I was a child, and if I had had a VCR, perhaps I wouldn't have disliked my English classes as much as I did then. (Not that I don't like the language, it was just very difficult for me!)

Or if not Astro, anything else you really like, because it will make you want to understand! I don't think one can learn a language only through classes, but it's a nice springboard.

It's on the Tezuka site, he reads a story about a dragon to you with both speaking and sign language. I ignore the sign language and just read. Or I try to, his facial expressions are extremely distracting cos he's so cute. But I did learn hello and goodbye in sign language from Astro.
