T; Astro, why would you have any interest in getting to know me?

A; Well...I think that incident with you at the Ministry made me realize that...you're not a terrible person...You've just made some mistakes, and I'd like to see you get past those mistakes...

Tenma eyes the little boy intently

T; Do you pity me?

A; Of course not. You see, I think you want to be a better person...And, I'd like to get to know that part of you a little bit more...



Oh BTW, how's my dialouge for Astro? Is it okay?

[Astro Forever]

(Yes, it seems okay to me. )

Tenma felt an overflow of emotion. His vision became blurred, and he wasn't sure if it was Astro or Tobio in front of him. He turned away, facing the wall.

Tenma: "Become a better person...? I'm not sure that day will come."

Astro: "I can wait."

Tenma: "And what do you want me to become, exactly?"

A moment of silence followed.

O'Shay: "You must have felt compassion at least once..."

[Prettywitchiusaka]

T; Doubtful...I've never really paid much attention to anyone other than those I've come to care for.

A; Do you think you could ever open up to someone again?

T; No...Everytime I do, I only seem to make things worse.

A; But I forgave you Dr. Tenma, and you opened up to me. Shouldn't that mean something?

Tenma merely shifts his focus towards the ground in deep thought, but as Astro looks at him with concern, O'Shay can only keenly observe his thought process

[Astro Forever]

Tenma: I wouldn't be going through this if I had followed my idea...

Astro: This doesn't have to last forever...

"Do you both really believe I can actually change?", said Tenma in a defiant tone.

Astro: Yes, I do...

Tenma: You really do have a little bit of a simplistic view of the world, don't you?

[Prettywitchiusaka]

A; Ah...Well, I'm only a kid...But I know enough to know that nothign happens over night.

T; Some things you wish for never hapen either...

A; But if you never try, then how would you know?

Tenma looks at him rather surprised

A; Dr. Tenma; what is it that you really want?

T; What I want now is for you to be happy...and to resume a normal life...

Both O'Shay and Astro stared at him in slight surprise as he said that

[Astro Forever]

O'Shay: You want Astro to be happy and resume a normal life?

Tenma: Yes, why not?

O'Shay: That's a very nice thing to wish for. How do you picture a normal life for Astro?

Tenma turned to Astro.

"How do you picture your life?"

A; Me? Well...I guess I see it as being a normal, happy life with my family and friends. Sure, I'll probably have battles to face in the future. But I'd rather look to them with an open mind.

Tenma observes his child intently as he says this

T; I see...

[Astro Forever]

O'Shay: What do you think of this?

Tenma: I guess... that is what I wish for.

O'Shay: You don't sound very convincing.

Tenma: That's a little bit boring... not very ambitious.

O'Shay: I see.... I assume you never tried to imagine your own life like this?

[Prettywitchiusaka]

T; I've not really sure...I never really expected I would be given a second chance to resume normalcy...

A; Well, is there anyting you could see yourself doing?

Tenma beings to think this over

Tenma: Actually, I'd love to spend time with you...

Astro beamed.

O'Shay: And what do you envision yourself doing?

Tenma: Perhaps I could get to know you, and your new life since...
