I remember lying in bed and suddenly realizing that my closet door was open. The significance of this was that as cars passed my bedroom window, light would dance accross the things in my closet, making them appear alive. :D It was not so simple to leave the security of bed to cross the floor in a darkened room and close the closet.

I was also quite frightened of noisy things, such as dishwashers and vacuum cleaners. I remember being at a shopping center and seeing what I thought was a giant vacuum cleaner. It was huge, gasoline powered outdoor vacuum cleaner, and I imagined it would devour me if I got too close to it!

One routine of horror was the trip to the barber shop. The haircut itself was scary with that noisy clipper right next to my ears, but when finished, the barber would always vacuum the back of my neck, and with my fear of vacuum cleaners combined with my fear of something going on behind my back, I found this very frightening.

I remember being taken to a department store for a flu shot. I guess this was a serious flu season, and the GVT decided to deal with things publicly. They had this "jet injector" thing, that dispite the fact that it had no needle visible, I found particularly scary. They had to drag me as though I were going to face a firing squad. I remember dad telling me that I was shaking so violently that they ended up injecting me several times as though using a jackhammer. :D :P

You remember me a scene at the dentist :wahah:
I was very young, less 6 years, and maybe much less.
The dentist wanted to tear of a teeth ( after all that's what he's paid for ;) ), I was told later that they had to call another dentist in the building and the secretary to force me to stay still. That is: 3 persons to prevent me from moving, plus the dentist to tear off the teeth :D Should I remember my age at this time? ;)

Sure dentists are scary :o

Well, speaking of vacuum cleaners, to me, they were quite the opposite: I LOVED THEM.

I think I was at age 6 when I kept ringing my mom's ears full to buy me such an awesome thing. I figured out all weird stuff you could do with.

Things changed as I went to school. Ev'rytime we had an exam during the lessons, the school's caretaker used to run his gasoline powered vacuum monster thru the corridors.
Its infernal noise which was louder than The Four Horsemen together always prevented me from taking good scores home  .

As punishment I had to dust my room  .

Good evening, Louis74...

So you're blaming my husband's effort for your bad remarks in maths and french? Give me a break! Who was working from dawn to dusk to get all that dirt out of your teacher's way? Who? Who was working overtime, neglecting his own family including his poorly developed love life in order for you to have a nice looking and lovely smelling school room?

I wished I had your problems! A bad remark in chemistry? A little distraction while trying to write an essay? At least you had the opportunity to go to school without getting infected with typhus! Wasn't it for my husband's labour's sake that everything was kept neat and clean all day?

Get a grip! I mean, do you remember 1987, will you? Ernest (my husband) was laying in hospital with a severe diarrhea he got from cleaning all the excrements found on the main stairway leading to the entrance of your school. Three weeks his poor self was fighting for a life. I spent day and night at his feet , hoping he would tell me he loved me, at least once in his lifetime.
Do you remember the result of this three week cleaning break? Do you remember it?

The local newspapers were publishing a detailled report, after the federal institute for healthcare and hygiene was being asked to investigate the reason for seven children who got first symptoms of pestilence diagnosed.
The report stated that no similar swinishness alike has been found in any of the pubilc buildings of our continent! I mean three weeks without my Earnest doing his job and you all were in danger to loose your health!!

And you complain about school remarks?!

Maybe Astroboy's spirit will knock some senses back into your brains... The only reason why I come here often is because I am totally into those automatic cleaning robots that have their example back in the first episodes of Astroboy. I am following the technical progresses abroad with a lot of interest. To see you (of all people) posting such terrible a calumny against Ernest who spotlessly cared about purity has knocked the shoe's off of me!
You know... a man who recklessly spoiled his every drop of effort into clearing away your every dirt has deserved all of your affirmation. Ernest hoped that his effort for purity would cause an inner purity, a purity of the soul and of your "motivation in life" in you. To see that obviously all the work of a lifetime failed is causing me sleepless nights.

I would highly appreciate to read from you. I have not lost hope on you. As long as I am carrying my husband's memory within me (and his image is fading with every day, ever since he died shortly after his retirement) I will keep on hoping and believing that his lifestile will prove you wrong one day!

Sincerely,
yours Frau Brönimann

Do not try this at home

Sometime during my teens or even early adult years, I did a really terrible thing to my cat that involved the tip of her tail & the canister vacuum cleaner. She was lying next to the vacuum which was lacking any attachment on its wand/hose. Of course, it was off, or she would have been nowhere in sight. I am am not sure what startled her most, the noise of the machine, or the sudden sensation on her tail. However, I have reformed since then. B)

one thing that i experienced when i was younger, was somewhat of a ghostly experience, i can remember lying in my bed sleeping as you do. then i felt this sensation on the top of my head, it was like someone pulling the skin on my head, like a massage. i sat up startled looked around, but nothing was there. thinking it was my brothers playing a trick . so i laid back down then a few seconds later it started again but this time more intense. i sat right up, looked around again still nothing was there... it scared me so much that i slept with the pillow over my head and under the covers. something which in about 12 years i still have never really gotten over, it never happened again.

Hello ozfiz!

I can fill you in, if I may... Several folks all over the globe have experienced what you did, more than ten years back.
My interpretation is that you must have had a nightly encounter with Earnest, my beloved husband. He has touched people here and abroad every now and then with his invisible vacuum cleaner. Why he visited you and why he didn't cross other people's lives must have to do with your thought life.
As I tried to make clear in an earlier post, Earnest is not longer amongst the living and hence has no chance to care about material garbage and waste to free the world from. So he is desperately trying to clear away emotional garbage and wast being produced by mental activity.

The fact that you have not been visited for 12years now is definitely a good sign. Keep up the good work.

Sincerely, yours

OMG!!

:rofpmp:

Frau my new wonderful friend...
j00 15 t3h phunn1 0n3!

But, I am sorry but I have to politely nudge you aside for a minute to reply.

The whole 'physical sensation' in the wake/sleep period of the night for me usually has to do with where my head is in relation to the room. I get the head tapping, skull streaching etc most often when I sleep (usually by accident haha) with my head away from a wall and in the open air.

As well I also have the 'fingernail poking in the back' sensation when I sleep on my back too. When I was a little kid I used to think there was something under the bed and if I didnt keep my back arched up off the matress it (he, her, whatever) would poke its fingernail into my back.. and sure enough EVERY TIME I tried to relax my back even a little *poke* fingernail in the back would cause me to SPRING my back up into the arch again.

I get other physical sensations too. Such as someone pulling the bed clothes off, even tho they are not moving.. the bed 'shifting' as if someone else was in it.. that sort of thing.

Mind you, I get these sorts of things all the time, not only when I am sleeping (or in bed half awake etc) but also when I am wide awake. I 'feel' people lay a hand on me somewhere (position changes.. shoulder, thigh, tummy etc) or I 'feel' the chair or the air of change as if there is someone or something else there.

I also hear things that do not exist. Everything from Radio's playing when there are no radios nearby, to things like a VHS player rewinding a tape when there is no tape in there.. to cars pulling into the driveway.. to windows opening etc.. all of which don't happen, of course.. I just HEAR it as if it DOES happen.

And then there is the REALLY spooky (yet somehow anxiously exciting) Visual episodes. Now the thing is that they seem so 'ordinary' that most of the time I don't even know, as it never registeres in my mind "am I really seeing that? Or is my mind just misfiring again?" because, well, people usuall just do not think like that.

But two very specific situations i remember are one hilarious, and one actualyl life threatening.

1= first the funny.. I saw Alice Cooper walk thru my back yard. Yes the Alice Cooper. Head of the department of youth. He walked thru my back yard. I have no idea why he just did.
B= A girl was 'just there' in the passenger seat of my car one morning. I just sensed something change and looked left and there she was. Unfortunately I looked away from the road and had an accident that my insurance company was not happy with. Expecially since I only had the new car a matter of weeks.

So .. Do I win the 'freakay stuff' award or something? Cos if the judges are still deciding.. I got LOTS more..

Like a cat who refused to walk thru a laundry in which the clothes dryer used to turn itself on. Windows down one side of a house that used to rattle violently as if being hit my something on the outside, yet clearly there was nothing there. Lights not attached to anything flying around the house.. that sort of stuff.. hell yeah.. I got lots of phreaky stories.

I can even make streetlamp lights blow simply by WILLING them too..

oh.. and no.. none of that is BS.. its all 100% fact and true.

Ask me how B)
three and a half years.. for what?
