Yes, sometimes motherly feelings are really strong ^^'' I feel that towards Atlas/Daichi (Astro Boy 2003)... so, I've done a drawing You can see the mother/son relationship in it, eh? ^^

Excellent work! You wonder how Atlas/daichi turned out the way he did. In the Chinese manga version of the new series, his mother died in a hospital of some sickness and the coldness of his father led Daichi to his fate.

Oh, I know that The manga was imported and translated, here in Italy (but not the series ç_ç) Maybe I love him cuz he's so alone... poor boy :°(
