Episode 2 Astro Vs. Atlas question

I'm about to order Madman's DVD Deluxe Edition of Astroboy. Does it show Livian being taken apart? Does it show Atlas being destoyed by Guiss? Just curious.

Those events take place in the first two Japanese episodes, and those episodes are indeed on Madman's extras DVD, in Japanese with English subtitles, uncut.

That said, to be totally accurate, even the Japanese episode doesn't show Livian literally being taken apart: we see her right before Giss is about to do it and then we see her in pieces. But yes, you'll see everything there is to see with Madman's Deluxe Collection.

The only issue is I think picking up the Manga set would better, despite it missing the first two episodes. But this is just preference more then anything ^_^;;
