should i really bother posting my doujin,and other art on this forum? it feels kinda pointless if its ignored. i know, a silly question, but meh, i needed to ask. i'll still be submitting to DA though...
ok,now that i got that off of my chest..

oh,and,does anyone have any idea at all where i could get my hands on a multi-reigonal DVD player,or,at the very least, tell me how i can set up the reigon-settings on my computer? i'd highly apritiate it...because then i can FINALY buy me the madman astroboy box set...without getting disspaointed that it wont work..

nasty? if you mean like,"OMG THIS SUCKS SO HARD!!!" then i doubt it,nobody on this forum is like that. if you mean bad critisism,like,"the pose is'nt to great",or"that backlground could use some work",then im A.O.K with that,as it helps me know what i need to improve on =3

I can't say if your doujin is good or not because I haven't read it, but it's not because it's yours, it's just that I do not read a lot of fiction, even in my real life.

As for the DVD player, I would ask at whatever dealer you buy electronic devices. If you want Madman set however, it doesn't only need to be multi-region, but also to be able to read PAL format (North America uses NTSC). There are more and more of these.

As for watching them on your computer, here's what I did. I have a DVD player and a separate DVD player/burner. I set the player/burner to region 4, left the player to region 1 and voilà!

The problem came when I then bought region 2 DVDs from Europe. :d oh: Obviously, I wasn't going to buy a third DVD player for that purpose. I do not remember how I did that exacly, but I had to hack my own DVD player/burner so that, when I stopped and then restarted the computer, the number of times I could switch region would reset itself to where it was (the maximum is 5). You can do a search in Google with your model and something like hack or multi-region. I ended up having to use a little program that would modify the firmware.

That is so stupid, having to hack my own player, a legal device that I use to watch legal DVDs that I had to import because they were never sold in my country...

ah,thats going to be a problem for me.because it requires 2 things.

-money (ask anyone how often i have mone,yna dgaruenteed the awenser will be "once in a blue moon)
-computer knowlage[in the case of hacking] (another thing witch i lack...GRATELY)

i dont really use my computers DVD playing capabiliatys much...so if i set a different reigon,i would'nt be to worried. the only thing i use it for is watching my Nightmare On Elm St. DVDs...and for some reason they play on media player...O.o;;

But do you have more than one physical unit that can play DVDs? Because if you have just one, you'll have to switch region each time you watch the DVDs you listed above and Madman's Astroboy, and you can't do that more than 5 times... So after three sessions of those and two of Astroboy, you wouldn't be able to switch it anymore.

BTW, I've just realized you were from UK, so forget what I said about the PAL format. That is not a problem for you!

BTW, Manga Entertainment's Astroboy DVD set (who are very good despite the lack of the first two Japanese episode) is a lot cheaper than Madman's. The difference might be enough to allow you to buy a DVD player that you could connect to your TV. However, Manga's set is in NTSC format, so make sure your player can read them.

Personnally, I don't feel the need to post anything after reading. That's not because I don't like, only because I am rather silent. I guess I am not alone in this case. You shouldn't interpret the absence of posting as ignoring

heh,sorry fafner ^^; i guess its just natural instic for me to ask this kind of thing.im normaly the one gaging for critique on how good something is,or,more importnently,how i can make it better.
that,i probebly should have checked the number of veiws on the thread ^^;
