:( I'm sorry, Tonigirl1000, but I've watched a lot of the episodes...I don't recall one where that was something he wanted. However, who knows, maybe Astro has that as a secret desire. :)

From what I can tell, Astro's wanted to be human LIKE and to understand what it was like to be human, and to be accepted as one, but I don't think he's ever ACTUALLY wants to be one

See the 1980 episode "The Hijacked Airship". While Astro's classmates all have dreams (becoming a football player, a botanist or a policeman), Astro realises that he can't have dreams because he's too good at everything. Wanting badly to feel just like a human, he asks Elefun/O'Shay/Ochanomizu to take away his superpowers.

Interesting concept for an episode. But here's something to think about, if he's wishing to be more human so he can have dreams like other people, isn't that in it's self a dream?

Yes, I had thought of that as well. However, this is one he'll never be able to accomplish. In fact, in the episode, it's more about what the children would like to become when they grow... and Astro can't really become that different.

That's odd. Because I have seen parts in some episodes where he gets a little upset sing a Human boy like him do stuff which he couldn't.

In the story Coral Reef Adventure (Jeffbert's review), Atom realizes that he cannot be frightened & seeing this as making him different than humans, he desires to experience fear. BTW, the 1980s Hijacked Airship was another version of this story; however, in it as already mentioned, Atom wants to experience a desire to improve himself, a hope to be better at something in the future. Thus, Dr. O temporarily disables his super powers. In Robot School (Jeffbert's review), Dr. O realizes that neither A nor U have the ability to recognise beauty, he thus sends them to school. :astro:
