Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy thanksgiving to all our members everywhere.
I know this will be a bummer, but I always hated TG. I am more finicky than Morris the cat & Mikey the kid combined, & I really hated all those things piled up in our refrigerator after TG. Plus, for years now, this & Xmas remind me of my loneliness & failure; everyone else has somebody, but I have only myself. I should stop now and press [back] or close this window, rather than forcing you to share in my misery.
But, in the years since I have been on this forum, the loneliness has not been so crushing as it once was.
So, I am thankful for the forum & its members!
BTW, my mom was ill the past week, & although she intended to have TG here, the fresh turkey I bought last Sunday is now frozen, & all the relatives went to my sister's house today for a late TG. So, my mom lost 7 Lbs because of her touchy tummy, the 'fridge has only regular things in it, & has plenty of empty space, etc.
I do hope she recovers soon, though.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!
jeffbert, sorry to hear it was a bit rough for ya, but if it's any consolation, you're not alone in feeling alone. And it's not a failure - sometimes it's just unfortunately life. But don't give up hope or the good things in life. =) Also, hope your mom feels better soon!
We had a kind of funny Thanksgiving also. My grandmother always has it, and she's...er...starting to get a bit more confused than she used to be (she's doing okay though), so she timed it wrong and the turkey was too frozen to cook. ^.^ So my mom saved the day and we had chicken instead. Looks like the turkey's coming tomorrow. lol.

Thanksgiving for me is the 2nd Monday of October.
Jeffbert, you are not alone feeling this way. Many people hate holidays for that reason. Even some of those who do have family have problems with it as it forces them to see people they don't like or don't get along with. Sometimes it can be a major source of stress.
