Forum glitch?

Postby Dr. Jerk » 14 years ago

I came onto the forums just now and noticed that many threads in both the Astro Boy Discussion and General Discussion boards were marked as unread. They were not new posts however, they were old posts that I had already read (some of them from yesterday too) that I had already read. So I have no idea why they were suddenly marked as being unread.

So I went back to the Public Forums hub and double clicked on the board icons to mark all threads as 'read'. I left the forums and closed my browser, but when I came back on the forums, the same threads were again marked as unread. When I did mark them as read, I left again and immediately returned to find that the threads were still marked as 'unread'.

I'm not sure what's going on, and it's annoying because a lot of threads seem to be affected by this.

Edit: I tried to clear my browser's history and cache, but the threads are still marked as unread, so it's not my browser at fault.

I don't think so...at least my one works

As you may recall me saying, I have both Firefox and Internet Explorer. Just a few days ago I could only use Internet Explorer to get on, if I used Firefox the server would say its a "bad request". I then re-installed it and now everything works just fine :) .

If you deleted all your cookies, or perhaps rejected new ones, you caused this yourself.

I did not delete my cookies prior or after to this happening.

Edit: I came in just now, and the problem seems to have fixed itself. However my point still stands, I didn't delete my cookies.

Edit: Wait, it's still occasionally happening.

It happens to me once in a while, and not just on this forum.
