Considering the quality, I wonder if they got it off a VHS or something. I would assume this to be on the Japanese boxset, but then maybe not.

The intro was nice. :)

As I recall, this is a movie cobbled together from 3 episodes, including #56 the only full-color one, & one that, though monochrome, was made in red & white, for certain portions, LAST DAY OF EARTH. I have it (the movie) on DVD, but it did not come with either DVD boxed set of Tetsuwan Atom. Rather, it came with two other discs, 1 of which was the pilot for the animal TREASURE ISLAND. I do not believe the series was ever produced, though. I think it may be available from cdjapan.

Ah yes, that's right! So that's why 鉄腕アトム 宇宙の勇者 gave no result on Amazon Japan. :P I think it's a bit of a ripoff to sell it outside of the boxset, considering it is just a montage of three episodes from the series. I wonder if the two color episodes on the series boxset are in color in Japan like they are in the US?

As I understand it, the color episode was never shown in color, & I do not recall if the two-toned one was. BTW, here is the product page: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=XT-1707

Thank you for adding those links Solarcat 20! In viewing "Mighty Atom the Brave in Space" it is interesting to note that the film ties the three episodes together with framing sequences using short scenes from other episodes to connect the main episodes together. For ex.) In between "The Moon Monsters" and "Attack from Space", scenes from "Mars Expedition" show the many life forms thought to exist before going into the main story. Its unfortunate that the film has not been dubbed and released in English.

I  :astro:

Thank you Solarcat. I guess I never did thought about searching for it that way.

So judging by the amount of parts, I'm assuming that this was the 1964 movie?
