O.K., By popular requst, here are some images. While this was essentially a remake of 007 Captain Atom, there are notable differences.


Space Higeoyaji & class watch TV as the newscaster announces that a habitable planet has been located.


Emissaries from the space people arrive on earth.

Note that they also meet in 97 Mystery of the Metal Men (J: 107 Release of the Earth).

Trouble starts when the Earthlings introduce the aliens to earth food, though I cannot tell if it is meat, as is the case in the manga:

No, actually, young Tobio has a similar appearance.

As far as I can tell the man on left is sitting behind a sign which reads "Gaimu Daijin" or "Foreign Minister". The man to his right appears to be the Prime Minister, (although on my notebook screen the resolution of the scan is a little unclear). But I believe that's who these two men are.

Here's what I mean about his hair looking like Uran's --



Those points on Space Tobio have moved -- different from adult Astro (from Astro Stolen). Of course, Tobio has HAIR so maybe he tweaks his spikes!

Thanks for your concern! My girl and I were out in the storm, after a family gathering at my brother's, but made it home safely. I hope you are also doing well at this time. I feel for those who were stuck at area airports or on the roads.

As for learning Japanese, if you have a good memory, it should not be hard. Having a rudimentary knowledge of the language helps me a lot to appreciate TetsuWan Atom. Of course google does help now and then with some translations too.
