Hi Guys,

I know it has been ages since I last went here in the forums, over a year ago to be exact. Heck, some of the active members here might not be even familiar with me anymore.

Just wanted to ask if someone has higher resolution versions of the artworks used in the iPhone game “Astroboy Tap Tap Rush”



The art style of the game really captured my eye and renewed my interest on Astroboy once again. However, I am really having difficulty finding high resolutions of the artworks used in this game.

I'm not even sure what the minimum requirement is to get this game. Tried to get it with my 3G IPhone, but it's too powerful for my phone.

I was able to run this game on an iPhone 4s...I think it would be best to run this at least on iphone 4

I can't put my finger on what it is, but the artist who created these images of Astro has done (IMHO) an incredible job.

Tezuka's original manga drawings of him look "dated" - but to me, he actually looks like a 9 year old boy here - but a 21st Century 9 year old boy, not the "1950's version"). His eyebrows are heavier and more strongly defined (and closer to his eyes); the shape of his face is not as exaggerated (with big, round cheeks) - he looks more "masculine" while still childlike. Plus his shorts are painted further down his legs (which make them look more like "shorts" instead of "underwear"). I really like him this way better than the way he's portrayed in the 2003 anime.

I downloaded it to my Ipod when it first became available (then disappeared for a while). I can't play the game to save my life (I am a NOT a gamer ) but I HAD to have it for the graphics. The game graphics are cute, but not even close to the two images Adrian_68 posted. BTW Adrian, it's good to see you again! Members come and go, but it's always great to see someone who's been a part of the forum for a while!

I have to agree about your comments on this artwork style of Astro.... He is simply adorable and very modern looking.....even better than the 2003 version of the series.

I hope that a new animated series would be created under this art style That would be really fantastic!

I don't have an iPhone to play the game, but I have to agree that the art style is pretty great. It looks very modern.

Also have to agree with you adrian_68, it would be fantastic to see a new anime in that art style! I even wouldn't mind just a short animated movie in that style.

I don't think this compares favorably to any of the "official" styles to date, but it's decent.

the only thing i dont like is his arms, they make him look more robot then human, and the mane idea and reason was created was something that was in the middle.

p.s do you think it would work on a 2nd Generation ipod touch???
