Astro Wars: A look at the Lucusfilm references.

Postby GreenDarthVader » 12 years ago

Recently watched 1980s Astro The Rainbow Comet (Somehow I skipped over it when I watch the entire season), and noticed a pillar in a space ship that looked like one in the Death Star. This reminded me of the brief glimpse of a storm trooper (or was it Darth Vader) in the episode where Uran visits the movie studio as well as a certain split second in the Time Machine *Looks at username and profile pic*

So, I thought it might be fun to mention all of Tezuka's references or possible references to Star Wars in his works. :tezuka:

In robot Stunt Man there was a lot of refferences as well.
Uran even saw an actor dressed as Darth Vader and she gave comments about his face being scary, lol
Specially a AT AT Walker which was sent to crush Uran and Stantom.

That scene was re-used from a previous episode of Astro vs Atlas inside of Atlas's castle.
Oh, the spaceship in the Mars episode (a few episodes before this one), had the ship Astro was on looking quite a bit like the one going to Jupitor in "2001".

The interior of Atlas's ship remembered the Death Star in many aspects too.

But, the fact that Uran thought the Darth Vader to be scary was funny.
