Boston bombing, OMG!

Postby dannavy85 » 13 years ago

Guys, my sister was 1 block on her way to the finish of the Boston Marathon today when the bombs went off! She's ok.

I have two daughters in college in the Boston area (BU and Brandeis). BU is near where the bombing was and they went into lockdown. Both my kids are OK.

Oh man . . . I actual only found out about this tonight. Not near radio today and had a rehearsal tonight . . . somebody there mentioned it and we all freaked out. I haven't heard much in the way of details, but I'm glad to hear your families are safe, and hope they catch who ever(s) was behind this right away and bring them to justice.

It's pretty bad, 3 casualties so far and 2 were kids :(

I hope they catch the bad guys too!

There's been too many major tragedies within this last year. Some people are truly screwed up nowadays.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims' families in Boston.

So it was noon here in Washington state and my wife calls me from home that someone bombed the Marathon and my dad needed me to call like NOW!

So when I called him, he told me my younger sister Sam always went every year since she was like 13 and my mother's walking around with her rosery calling on all the Saints.

Sam was right at Exiter Street on her way to the finish because a friend was two miles away in the race when the first bomb went off, both bombs exploded between Exiter and the old South Church on Boylston.

She didn't think twice, she ran down Exiter and dove for the sidewalk just as my father had been telling her to do since she started going to the race as a kid. He spoke from plenty of experiance in Vietnam and I guess she'll stop calling him crazy from now on.

I read in the news today more about the bombing. The sickos that did this used nails and ball bearings in the bombs to maim. Many people lost arms and legs (too bad Dr. Blackjack wasn't in Boston). Really makes my blood boil. The penalty should be death by slow steamroller. Hope they catch these guys quickly.

I'm still praying. I hope no one else dies.
