Happy Memorial Day.
what did you do today? I was in a parade with my Brother & his army truck. It was awesome. I had a great time. I'm also thinking about joining a motorcycle group called Hogs & Hero's. They raise money for charity. I would eventually get a motorcycle also to become a full member.

We went to a bar mitzva of my wife's friends son.
I helped my daughter with some wood working.
I worked on the next chapter of my latest fan ficiton story, and was laughing my tush off reading some old threads here. Hey Novacan. You need to repost that pix of your fridge door (unless it WAS stolen by now!)

On Saturday my dad and I planted red, white and blue flowers on my grandparents gravesites (Grandpa fought in WWI and was honored for his bravery by General Pershing). We said a prayer for my Uncle Dan (who tragically endured what we now know as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) - he fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
My dad was a Marine who was stationed in Japan at the very end of WWII.
I'm really grateful to these three brave men who gave so much of themselves for the ideal of freedom for everyone, and I am also grateful for service and sacrifice of the many vets who are part of ABO. God bless you all.

I usually place flags on grave sites every memorial day but I couldn't this year. Instead I stayed home and watched WWII in HD, had some really bad steak that my mother cooked (she made it in the oven under the broiler and she burnt and over-cooked it) and was about to play some Frisbee outside when it started a deluge and had to come back inside. One of the worst Memorial Days ever...
