Cold war property tax exemption.

Postby Big Astro Fan » 12 years ago

I was online looking for something about my house. I found out that anybody who was in military service between September 2, 1945 & December 26, 1991 can get a property tax exemption. I found the NY State site for it. There should be information on other state's sites. Here are the links.

That's true as far as I know, my aunt was in the Marine Corp in the 70s, one of the first bunch of women marines in the USA if I'm not mistaken. She was exempt from property taxes right up until her death in 2007.
